[SOLVED]Character and Ogre 1.7 Terrain collision and gravity
Thanks! I figured out how to have a character collide and behave as though it has gravity on a terrain. I was over complicating things at first and basically messed with just my character (from the controller) and the actual rigid body.

can you share your code like your last post?
i found your code in your last post, and you edit and delete them now, can you post them again?
i have met some problem and want to refer to your code, if you would like to post code again.

Re: [SOLVED]Character and Ogre 1.7 Terrain collision and gra
I would like to but currently all of my code is in a bad state as I am seriously reworking the character and everything. But I am glad that you saw my code and may have started finding it useful, but you would have inherited the same problems I did, which is why I am rewriting the whole thing.
I have other threads open about creating a kinematic character and was hoping to get help there as well, even on this thread, but nobody took the time to respond. I am quickly realizing that alot of people need help and just not enough answers out there, and that if I wait for an answer it could take a really long time. I am trying to figure out the whole proper kinematic character thing. If I get anywhere, which I think is going to be a struggle, then I will post what I find out. I had the hope that maybe there were many who have solved characters and collision properly and would have wanted to share their ideas so we could make a standard, but maybe it is a pipe dream.
