Docs on rigid body properties

Hi guys,

I'm new to the physics game and am confused with how the different properties effect the rigid body such as linear velocity, impulse, force and damping, restitution, friction and mass.

Can anyone offer some reading for using these properties with bullet?

What I'm after is how they affect the movement of the rigid bodies, and which ones I should use to propel my objects with engines (eg cars, aircraft, missiles).

I've had a look around for some documentation and haven't found much yet. I also found the Bullet_User_Manual.pdf did not address these items.

I'm going away for 2 weeks so some reading would be perfect! thanks.
