Source Distribution 2.76 is Broken

Hello,

In March there were several emails noting that the latest source package was broken. Later it was realized that indeed some directories were missing. I have just tried downloading the source 2.76 package and spent 45 minutes trying to get it to compile before realizing whole folders (namely some library named Collada or something similar) was missing. However, the trunk repository version seems to work just fine. Another issue is that autogen.sh in the package is encoded in a DOS format which prevents Unix users form compiling it in their terminal (you get a mysterious meta value and the topline #! /bin/sh is incorrect, #!/bin/bash is more compatible).

Please update the source package on the downloads page to match the current trunk; one is very broken, the other just installed in under 5 minutes. Here are some page references showing that this is not an isolated problem:
