disabling Gravity for specific Objects

Post by Doc Holiday »

Disabling Gravity for specific Objects ... I know the Force-Up 9.8 Trick, but isn't there a more cleaner Solution, maybe a "No Grav" Button.
Because the Trick don't work if the Object has Rigid Body Constraints hanging on.

Thanks for helping.

The most simple way to do this is to use a motion actuator that applies force to the object constantly along the z-axis. This should be exactly the same force as your gravity is set to so they cancel each other out. Also make it a global not local force so it doesn't depend on the orientation of the object.

Enjoy blendering!

Good idea. Actually, each rigid body has already this functionality, it just needs to be enabled in Blender.

THanks for the feedback,
