I'm a Lightwave 3D user. Lightwave 11.5 (the current version) incorporates Bullet Physics as their dynamics engine, and I'm trying to use it for some 3D animation.
The trouble I'm having is that the various parameters don't seem to do what I would expect. So far I've only been able to achieve two results with "deforming" objects in Bullet:
1) Upon applying force, the object squashes flat into an unrecognizable mass.
2) The object deforms but then "springs" back into its original shape, like an inflatable beach ball thrown against a wall.
If you're trying to simulate something like a car crash, neither one of these is much use. I'm seeking some kind of help or tutorial on how Bullet works and what these parameters in the "setup dialog" actually mean. (Lightwave's documentation has improved vastly over the years, but is far from complete.)
If this is not the proper forum, I'll be happy to leave - just throwing out a request for help.

Re: Looking for information on Bullet setup in Lightwave
Does anyone at least know of a link to the Bullet documentation? I only found one link, and it was broken.
