Momentum and angularvelocity

Post by markhula »

Hi all,

I have a ball which I can move across a landscape (the balls a dynamic rigidbody so under my control).
I have 2 questions regarding this.
Currently I adjust the angularvelocity to make it rotate; but I am wondering how I should do this properly to make it visually correct i.e. how does the linearvelocity affect the angular velocity? (I assume that's what I need to do for a sphere).
Secondly, if I make the sphere go up a hill and then stop adding any velocity although it goes backwards it 'slips' rather than rolls. I have tried adjusting the friction on the sphere and surface but it seems to have little effect.

Any help appreciated

Cheers
