An exciting and growing company is seeking an intermediate to senior level computational geometry software engineer with experience in developing computational geometry, contact detection, and meshing algorithms.
The individual will work with a team responsible for developing a software framework to build and maintain finite element, soft body, and rigid body simulation models.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
Strong background in C++ programming and mathematics (linear algebra and partial differential equations)
Strong background in developing computational geometry algorithms from scratch
Experience with developing meshing algorithms
Experience with developing contact detection algorithms
Experience with the Finite Element Method (FEM) is a plus
Experience with High Performance Computing (MPI, OpenMP)
Excellent technical writing and verbal skills (English)
Design and develop computational geometry algorithms for a simulation engine
Design and develop contact detection algorithms for a simulation engine
Design and develop meshing algorithms for a simulation engine
Communicate, track, and report progress
Interact with other engineers to provide design feedback
Master’s Degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of work experience in software development
Relocation to the Phoenix, AZ area is necessary
