getJointState error

I am trying to load an SDF file I found, but am having with getJointState. These are the error messages I receive: b3Printf: b3Warning[examples/SharedMemory/PhysicsClientSharedMemory.cpp,819]: b3Printf: request actual state failed; pybullet.error: getJointState failed. I do not seem to have issues with other functions. How can I go about fixing it?
