Create a new plugin

Hi!
I am trying to create a new plugin, but I do not understand
how to compile plugins, e.g. existing plugins such as testPlugin,
under Linux.
I saw the premake4.lua file. But I do not understand how use it under Linux.
It mentions MacOSX, but not Linux as an option.
