Kinematic RigidBody vs Kinematic CollisionObject

I am trying to understand what kind of kinematic body I should use (RigidBody or CollisionObject). From my understanding the only difference is Kinematic RigidBody will be deactivated if their speed is below a certain threshold. Is there any other ? Should I have any preference for one or the other ?
