Does anyone know how to create a "working" ping pong paddle that will "hit the ball" and won't let it (the ball) to pass through it?
Any provided help will be really appreciated.

About your question, even if the ball is fast, use CCD (Continuous Collision Detection) on the ball rigid body and the collision with the paddle should be fine.
