Hi, I'm working in a project that consist in the creation of a driving game, there is some videos that show the status of the project.

The game is called Rodent Race, and we are RRTeam of the University of Alicante. We have our own graphics engine, audio engine and we are working in the AI engine. For the physics we use Bullet Physics.

The vehicles are vehicles with raycasting (the same that we have in the demos of bullet).

We have problems with que control of the vehicle, when the vehicle arrive to a ramp, sometimes the vehicle lost control. We have test with a lot of values that recomends the user "kester" in this document http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AXVUZ ... l=en&pli=1

Please if you know about this subject and the techniques we used to jump ramps and can tell us ...
We greatly appreciate your help.

We'll put more videos :D

Sorry but I'm spanish and my english in's very good.

Let me give you a tip that will drastically improve your game - The camera is one of THE most important objects in the game. You don't want it blindly following the car. It works, but it looks odd. It needs to be much more sophisticated. Look at other third person driving games for inspiration. Try to analyze how their camera moves.

Yeah you're right. We didn't spend much time on this because we didn't have much time. Now we're working on game modes, we want to make an arcade mode (just choose your car and start driving), story mode (where you earn money that you can use for buy some pieces that improves your car's performance), time trial mode (just drive passing throug checkpoints trying to complete the lap in the less time you can) and multiplayer online (we want to include an special game mode, the zombie mode where one player is a zombie and he needs to infect other players).

Here is a funny bug: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwpYnrYzuKQ
It's a rock which has been trapped between the road and the land below and it's trying to scape from there.
And in that video you can watch our new camera that is a little more sofisticated.
