Cub3D for Android - Python and Physics on your Mobile Device

Post by GregE »

Hiya,

I've released a new Android project on the Play Store that is basically allows you to play with Bullet physics on the go, and even link real-world gravity detected by your device into the games you create, or use other sensors.

It has a Python editor (soon to be upgraded along with the language), an applet creator, ability to share, and an unofficial build of the Panda3D engine for Android, which continues to extend it for mobile devices. I'm adding a lot of extras to the mix on a daily basis. The app gives you the Panda3D features for free, and retains compatibility with the desktop version, but having all the add-ons is really inexpensive too (less than £10).

You can then create games, and share them with your friends freely. You can also play the games together through Wi-Fi as normal network support is available.

As I mentioned one of free plugins is Bullet Physics, so you can edit code, and play with Bullet physics, using Python, on your tablet or phone!
