The Physics Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining our proprietary code base that is used to create all physical interactions in our games. Applicants must work closely with content teams to improve workflows and with design teams to achieve custom physical behaviours. If you have a great love for games as well as knowledge in vehicle and character physics, this job is for you.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Physics Engineer will collaborate with other programmers (gameplay, animation etc.) in developing the game. This person reports directly to the Technical Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing pipelines for prototyping and production
Developing the mechanics / simulation for the game
Own the end to end physics pipeline from content creation to the run-time

REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with rigid body physics
A university degree in Computer Science
Strong math skills, including trigonometry, calculus and linear algebra
An interest in vehicle dynamics is preferred but by no means essential
Involved in the physics implementation on at least one completed game development project
Strong C/C++ programming skills
Strong written/verbal communication skills
Strong time management and organization skills
A passion for games and programming
A logical thinker with strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of Havok is an asset
