The Position:
Havok / Physics Engineer
Neversoft Entertainment is looking for a Physics Engineer whose primary focus will be the continued integration of Havok middleware into the Neversoft code base and the improvement and extension of Neversoft?s next generation physics systems and tools based on Havok functionality.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a solid physics engineering background and an interest in expanding the use of realistic physics in next generation video games.
This exciting role will require a proactive approach to supporting multiple internal game development teams.
Necessary:
? Strong physics and math background, ideally with supporting academic qualifications.
? Demonstrable proficiency in C, C++, with at least 3 years professional experience.
? Self motivated, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
? Prior experience of Havok integration to an existing code base is preferred. - - Alternatively, experience writing a homegrown physics solution, working with another physics middleware package such as PhysX, or general experience with integrating middleware into a code base will be taken into account.
? Console project experience preferred (ideally on shipped titles).
? Experience with a range of tools and\or technologies for various physics problems ? IK solvers, ragdoll and general constrained bodies, rigid body dynamics etc.
