Modeling an inverted pendulum

I am new to Bullet Physics Library Environment.
For a school project, I need to model the behaviour of an inverted pendulum.
What is the simplest way
1) to create the shape
2) to model the behaviour
Is there anybody who have already worked on a similar project ?
