Soft-body physics objects don't keep shape after collision?

... set, soft-body physics fall through, without it they collide properly. What could be the reason for that? // Edit: Problem solved! I had to call "setPose" after initializing the soft-body and change the pose-matching coefficient accordingly.

Re: Soft Body Plasticity

Hi, I had the same problem awhile ago, trying to simulate plasticity when using setPose, It doesn't really lock the mesh it rather slows it down but it still tries returning the softbody to its original shape I should of mentioned that this happens on collison with ...

Re: Soft Body Plasticity

I managed to "lock" the mesh by calling setPose. This solves the issue somewhat, but its not a fix since I still can't get my terrain to behave like clay. As an alternative I wanted to try using a btTriangleMesh instead, but I can figure out ...

how to prevent a softbody returning to its original shape

... to change the shape of a softbody while maintaining its volume (suppse the softbody is like clay) I do have set the pose matching to be "false" in setPose(true, false)function. So I think the softbody will not try to keep its pose. But when my hands move away the softbody, the softbody returns to ...

Re: Make btSoftBody more hard/rigid

Hi,

Maybe a solution could be to use setPose(false, true), or eventually setPose(true, true). But i never try it.

For more informations about setPose have a look at http://bulletphysics.org/Bullet/phpBB3/ ... 280#p24280

I have 4 bullet functions (setPose, setLJoint, cutJoint and cutLink) exposed to blender game engine python in order to be able to destroy softbody objects. According to the softbody ...
